Norfolk Young Walkers Group

Prospective members are free to attend a couple of walks, before deciding whether to join.

Membership F.A.Q.

- Do I have join to go to my first walk?

The 20’s – 30’s age band reflects the average ages of members. Prospective members outside this age band are still very welcome to join.

- Am I too old to join?

By joining you will get access to a range of benefits:

·     Access to all our walks, social events and weekends away.

·     Walk: a high-quality quarterly magazine.

·     Hike: a magazine specifically aimed at members of 20s/30s walking groups.

·     The Rambler’s yearbook: containing a mass of useful information about walking and places to stay.

·     Discounts in a range of outdoor shops.

Joining also helps to support the work of the Ramblers Association in campaigning to improve access to the countryside.

- What are the benefits of joining?

Membership rates (as of November 2008) are:

·     Individual: 27 pounds

·     Joint: 36 pounds

·     Reduced: 15 pounds

(For people who, for whatever reason, cannot afford the standard rate)

·     Reduced joint: 20 pounds

(For people who, for whatever reason, cannot afford the standard rate)

- How much does it cost to join?

For details of joining the Ramblers go to:

http://www.ramblers.org.uk/membership/about/joinand-share-the-joy.htm

If possible please specify ‘Norfolk Young Walkers Group’ on the membership application form (or the drop down box on the online form) so that we receive the correct notification of your joining. Thanks.

- How do I join?

If you enjoy our group you are welcome to contribute, particularly with the leading of walks. If this is new to you, you can ask an existing member help you if needs be. However if you don’t feel confident enough to lead a walk but would still like to help out, organising one of our social events would be greatly appreciated by members. For insurance reasons, all walk leaders must be members of the Ramblers Association.

- Can I help with organising?
