What an absolute TREAT!!!!..Weekend of 20th June 2009....The Beer Festival is held at the Hill House Pub over 5 days, its a 2 minute walk from the warmest stretch of Beach on the North Norfolk coast. Campsite is directly next to the pub within easy stumbling distance...Could make an extremely pleasant weekend!

Entry to the beer fest is free, campsite will be chargable but not expensive. Toilet and shower facilites on site too..... I will be booking my pitch quite early just in case!

The actual solstice is sunday night, which i will be staying for but obviously thats up to personal preference.

Anyone who would like to join us or who want more details, please post below or call on the usual number 07862702050

Thanks Nx

Just got back from Happisburgh - excellent choice of venue, and I'll definitely go back. The campsite is perfectly situated between the pub and cliffs and has great views over the sea, and a safe walkway down to the beach. Saw a beautiful sunset and had some delicious beers. Anyone who goes will have a fun time

Is anyone going today (Friday)? cos I am.
I'll be around some of Saturday but not for the walk because I'm going on another journey Sunday.

Just to confirm that I won't be camping this weekend as I still feel ill, although I'll attend the night walk :)

[wondering why my Dublin thread is locked]

Anyone else want to come night-rambling so we can have safety in numbers?

Is it a porn site?
liam_dsouza Posted - 18/06/2009 : 15:48:32
Unfortunately I'm not camping Paula as parents are staying weekend (they're not doing the night hike though)

MSN- what's that?
Paula Posted - 18/06/2009 : 09:05:58
Have you guys heard of msn?

Liam - are you camping as well?

I look forward to an extreme walk (due it being at night, near cliffs and after a few drinks at the BeerFest!)

Richard - do we have to sign Declarations for this weekend???
julian.white Posted - 17/06/2009 : 21:29:52
No probs.
liam_dsouza Posted - 17/06/2009 : 21:28:11
OK I forgot about that.

He was going to scratch my books up!

I don't think we're allowed to chat on this thread BTW, because we might get (another) warning.

Bailey will tear your books to shreds!
julian.white Posted - 17/06/2009 : 15:50:05
It might look like a library though when I discover what weeks you're away on holiday and I extend my book collection into your flat :)
liam_dsouza Posted - 17/06/2009 : 15:42:21
Yay night walk- I looked at the route you sent me on Google Earth, they have updated the photo at last as my flat is no longer a construction site :)
julian.white Posted - 17/06/2009 : 10:12:13
I'll be there for the walk :)

The start time will be nearer 11.30pm :)

Last night Julian and I reccy'd the walk for Saturday night. It is a 6 mile walk starting from East Ruston and going through Stalham. We have checked the route thouroughly for night walking hazards, and found it to be suitable.

The meeting point will be the campsite at Happisburgh where some of our members will be staying, although anyone else not camping is welcome to join us. The meeting time will be approx 23:00, depending on when Liam arrives!

The walk is about 6 miles, so we should be finished by around 01:00

I'm probably now only going to be a maybe for this - I'm worried about my dentist appointment late on Friday afternoon and suspect I might need all weekend to sit at home feeling sorry for myself (thinking how brave I'm being).

Yeah, I don't think you put it up right, I blame you.

Is there a walk still on Richard on the Saturday night? The one where we have to walk about in the dark drunk?
