Further to my previous post on Emma's thread, Graham has suggested maybe going to the dogs on Saturday 9th May in Great Yarmouth. That would also prevent too many pub crawls in one month making us look unhealthy ;)

Anyone interested?

Graham, is the right day, and have I got the right suggestion? I'm easily confused!

Cheers

Really enjoyed tonight Graham, won a bit of money but didn't lose as much as I thought I would which is all good.

Cheers

Hi Graham,
I'm sorry I'm not going to make this, as I'll have to work this afternoon.

Oh dog racing- sounds like a jolly good time, but I have a family gathering in Brandon to attend tomorrow evening which is a shame.

Hi Graham, I would have enjoyed this, but I'll be on my way back from France that day. Hope it goes well

By chance, I did a Reccy of this event (a friend's birthday outing). So, I can now give some more info:

First, I enjoyed it as a night out (phew). You watch the races from inside a bar (where you make your bets). There are races every 20 mins. And, to bet on a race costs 50p (or more).

The total cost of the evening (which included bets, eating, drinking and entrance (£6.50) was no more than the last NYWG monthly meal (all in I spent less than £25 ... but, I did have the occasional win )

Saturday races are from 7:30pm. But, doors open at 7. More details at: http://www.yarmouthstadium.co.uk/

This event is definitely on. So, hope you can join us.

Graham

(I have 2 more spaces in my car ... Happy to pick up from Norwich or en route too Yarmouth)

Yep Graham is right- I went there with my company last year and it is a good atmosphere and pretty enjoyable.

For those that haven't been to the dogs (includes me) more info can be found at:

http://www.yarmouthstadium.co.uk/

you'll see you can eat there and have a drink too ....

Cheers

Sounds good to me- see if Michelle wants to go too, and I will tell her it's a real rabbit the dogs chase
