Posted - 06/08/2009 : 20:16:30 Come and enjoy this 10 mile route through the wild outback and dense forest in the area around the outpost of Long Stratton. The walk will include part of the Boudica's way (chariots not provided). We will stop for a packed lunch on route then move on to a local hostelry. At the end of the walk there will be opportunity to have another drink or even fish and chips if you wish. Meet for a 10.30am strat in the large lay-by near Long Stratton leisure center on Swan Lane OS grid reference TM 1925 9317 (OS explorer map 237 Norwich) Don't forget good footwear, waterproofs, food and drink, insect repellent. The walk crosses some large areas of active cattle grazing land and on the recce encountered some very inquisitive cattle which probably makes it unsuitable for dogs. Jane |
