Come and enjoy this 10 mile route through the wild outback and dense forest in the area around the outpost of Long Stratton.
The walk will include part of the Boudica's way (chariots not provided). We will stop for a packed lunch on route then move on to a local hostelry. At the end of the walk there will be opportunity to have another drink or even fish and chips if you wish.
Meet for a 10.30am strat in the large lay-by near Long Stratton leisure center on Swan Lane OS grid reference TM 1925 9317 (OS explorer map 237 Norwich)
Don't forget good footwear,waterproofs,food and drink,insect repellent.
The walk crosses some large areas of active cattle grazing land and on the recce encountered some very inquisitive cattle which probably makes it unsuitable for dogs. Jane

Indeed, fish and chips (and the walk) were all really good, and I'm sure everyone will agree I was on my best behaviour all day.

Thanks Janes :)

Hi there,

Would like to come on this walk, particularly as I haven't been for ages and need the exercise! Sounds like a good one Jane, and close to Norwich too.

I will need a lift - Unthank road area. Anyone going this way?

Cheers,

Fran

Hi,Sounds like some wild country!are the natives hostile? will the insect repellent ward them off? You can count me in anyway been a while since I have been in the outback. Ian
