Posted - 14/03/2010 : 18:55:41 This walk's recce was done today and was rather enjoyable, especially as it was a whole 9 degrees and didn't rain/snow all day...
Starting point: The Walpole Arms, The Common, Itteringham, NR11 7AR. Click on this link for a map http://preview.tinyurl.com/yk4wm4w
Time: 10.15 for 10.30am start.
Directions: Itteringham is 4 miles north-west of Aylsham, signed right off the B1354 from that direction. The Walpole Arms stands on the right just before you enter the village, at a junction of lanes.
The walk is 9.5 miles and passes the medieval Mannington Hall.
I would recommend wearing walking boots as it is muddy and uneven in parts - also water and a packed lunch. The Walpole Arms is a great pub and worth stopping at for a drink afterwards.
Please post below if you would like to come along, and if you need to contact me on the day my number is 07812 564872.

Posted - 28/03/2010 : 17:21:08 Pity you couldn't make it Sophie due to misbehaving football louts! At least Norwich won though.
It was a good day, thanks to everyone who came on the walk.

Posted - 27/03/2010 : 22:28:40 Hi Paula,
I'm a bi 50/50 on coming now as work went on a bit longer than expected today - I had the joys of the football and they didn't behave!! I've not long got home and with losing an hour I may not get myself up and about in time. If I'm not there don't wait for me but I'll try and join you as it sounds lovely!

Posted - 27/03/2010 : 14:37:52 Don't forget the clocks go forward tonight so we get an hour less in bed. The walk will be worth it though!
See you all tomorrow.

Posted - 27/03/2010 : 11:15:13 Hi everyone,
Good point Sarah and one I was going to mention today. The pub landlady asked if we could park in the 'staff car park' - ie. drive through the main one and park in the little one beyond.
The weather forecast is dry and cloudy with outbreaks of sunshine - just about right for a good walk in Itteringham.
Those coming on the walk so far:
Tim Sophie Alex Alan and Carol David and Amy Jane Ian Fran Clyde Emily Clive (probably not due to moving)
Could someone give Fran a lift from Unthank Road?
If anyone else would like to come please post below today, otherwise contact me on my mobile 07812 564872.
Thanks, Paula

I am thinking about coming on your walk tomorrow at Itteringham. Are you actually parking at the pub car park ?
