Hello Everyone,
I will be leading this walk, starting at 10:00am from outside the Ostrich pub in the centre of Castle Acre, all welcome. I suggest parking by the green opposite the pub, failing that, find a spot on the streets nearby and walk to the start point… Click here for a map
The walk will be 12.5 miles taking us through quiet countryside to Narborough, where we will have a packed lunch stop. Then continuing on through pretty woodland following the River Nar, we’ll have a pub stop at West Acre, then back to Castle Acre and the possibility of a tea shop at the end of the walk.
As usual don’t forget your boots, waterproofs and food/water etc. I will have a couple of spaces in my car, so if anyone would like a lift from Norwich, let me know. Hope to see you there. David (07799) 365737

That’s great, you’re very welcome Helen. A lift shouldn’t be a problem Julian, will sort something nearer the time.

Don't tell your friend, pretend you're taking her for a surprise Sunday lunch. Which is technically true. The walk bit can be the surprise :)

Hello
I'm up for this one. Hopefully my new boot induced blisters from yesterday's walk will have healed by then
I wouldn't mind a lift from Norwich, although I do have my own transport if there are others more in need than me.
cheers, Jo |

| I've heard Castle Acre is a lovely area, so I'm keen to join you on this walk. If anyone has space to give me a lift from Norwich, that would be fab? If not I don't mind driving so will have space for others. |

Hello everyone,
Quite heartened by all the interest in my walk, look forward to seeing everybody. Regarding lifts I will be taking Amy, Eimear & Julian. So, could I respectfully ask others travelling from Norwich to arrange car sharing between them. That would be great, thank you.

It seems a few people (with cars) are planning to come from the centre of Norwich. So, at this stage, I am not planning to come in from Taverham (which gives me an additional 20 mins lie in
let me know if anyone is coming from Taverham/Drayton/Costessey or needs picking up en route.
cheers,
Graham |

I am planning to go on this walk, and possibly Laurence too.
David, is this walk suitable for Laurence to bring his dogs, and does it have a lot of road crossings?

Hi Richard,
Of course dogs are welcome, but it would be appreciated if they’re kept on a lead in order to minimise distress to livestock. From memory… except for one (single carriageway) crossing of the A47, the walk is quite peaceful.

It looks like Laurence will not now be coming (and hence nor his dogs) but I am still coming!
