As suggested by Luce, there are plans to do a short walk around Whitlingham. I know it has been done (and expertly cycled around by the two youngest members of the group) but it is a bit short-notice and it's easy to get to.
And it's ideal for new members who don't want to walk too far.
Luce will follow on shortly with the timings and things :)

| Hi, my plan for Saturday was to meet for an afternoon walk of say 6 or so miles around Whitlingham followed by a drink or two and a meal straight afterwards - this saves everyone having to turn out again once they get home, and allow anyone who has to be on best behaviour for Mother's Day to get home in good time during the evening - and of course anyone who wishes can stay on and have a few more beers!! So my plan would be to meet at Whitlingham at 2pm, walk til about 5pm ish, stop off and have a drink and meal to either Bramerton Woods End or Trowse. I know Nicky was hoping to arrange a meal later at Pedros so I don't want to tread on her toes. Unfortunatley I can not make the AGM so suggest you discuss and let me know what you would prefer - I am quite happy to lead the walk but will probably not make the meal if it is later in the evening. |

Just to add, because of the Pedro's meal later on, I'll just be able to have a quick drink at the end of the walk so that I can recharge my batteries, but I'm looking forward to the nice stroll :)

Hi all, just to confirm the walk on Saturday will be around Whitlingham, start 2pm at the car park past the visitors centre on the right hand side - I think its free!!!
To avoid confusion this will be a walk only for about 2 hours or so, allowing enough time for all those out for a meal to get home and scrubbed up for Pedros. Unfortunatley I am not able to make the meal but hope to make the next one - sounds like its gonna be a bit of a riot! However we could always do a cuppa or quick beer straight after the walk if anyone wants.
I will do a recee of the Bramerton Woods End walk and do the walk followed by a meal another time if anyone is interested. |

Are you still picking me up Lucy? :)
Where should I be and when? I'll eat a Kit Kat or something so you recognise me :) |

Hi Julian, yes will pick you up 1.45pm where Liam usually picks you up - will look out for the kit kat, will that be two finger, four finger or chunky?!!!!
Oh and just to let you all know - dogs are very welcome on the walk, the reserve ask them to be put on a lead for a small section through the nature reserve, so hope we have some company for Daisy and Felicity!
See you Saturday - Oh and if anyone wants to contact me with any queries my number is 07721 893738
Cheers Luce

| It was on it last legs poor thing- it really struggled to jump up onto Michelle but the lure of Sweet Chilli Kettle Chips was too tempting. |
