This 11 mile walk follows field tracks, country lanes and meanders through some shady woodland - a great walk with varied terrain and views, even if they are flat!
Meet at 10.15 for a 10.30 start at The Red Lion pub, Caston. The pub has closed but there is another one close by to quench our thirsts afterwards.
Caston is 4 miles south east of Watton. Coming from that direction, turn left off the A1075, signed 'Stow Bedon', and keep straight ahead to Caston. The Red Lion pub is on the right next to the village green. Here is a map link to get your bearings http://streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?x=595907&y=297571&z=0&sv=NR17+1DB&st=2&pc=NR17+1DB&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf
Bring the usual packed lunch, water, suitable clothing and footwear - boots are advisable.
I can give up to 3 people a lift from Norwich so if anyone needs one let me know. And in case anyone needs my number it is 07812 564872.

Hi Paula,
I'm definitely up for this walk. I haven't visited Caston or the surrounding area before.
I can also give lifts which can be organised nearer the time or I'll take one of your free spaces - whichever is easier.

Hey Paula as you forgot to arrange about lift. Where would you prefer to pick me up from as i can make it to Norwich, Great Yarmouth or Gorleston on sea and Lowestoft.
Send me a message as Norwich train station is a good pick up point.

Looks like a much more promising turnout than the 5 people on the same walk last year - I just hope the weather holds this time!
Mark and Marian - I can give you both a lift if you don't mind my old car! It doesn't look like much but still goes well I will pick you both up from the train station - first car park on the right (near the entrance) at 9.15. If anyone else is desperate for a lift, I have space for another small-ish person (middle of the back seat).
Suz - Maisy would be welcome
