I've had a few people suggest a monthly (or roughly monthly) pub visit. The majority seem to favour either staying in one place for a leisurely few pints in a pub with beer garden, or a sedate wander around some pubs selling real ale. *

On that basis I was wondering if anyone would be interested in trying such a session in Norwich this Friday, 15th May at around 7pm.

Apologies to Graham in advance (given that he's in the US next week) for using his idea of Adam and Eve (near the Cathedral in Norwich) but I thought that might be a good starting point to try. We can either stay there or wander down to pubs such as Wig and Pen/Ribs of Beef/King's Head/etc if anyone wanted.

jul.

* - I can also arrange irresponsible pub crawls on request, but don't think they're a good starting point!

Julian,

Sounds a grand plan. Depending on work, I should be there.

Thanks for arranging.

I hope you know where the pub is and that you've already been there. Do you remember?

Yay I'm defintely up for this! Adam and Eve is an excellent choice.

As you might have noticed I need to know what to do about food so just wondering whether you are planning on going before or after tea?

I don't mind either way but must have some carbs (?!) before drinking beer!

Julian,

Some nosh at the pub would be a good idea or a detour via kfc especially for those with this weakness

Excellent Adele, I will ensure food is scheduled before drinking. I'll wait for a couple of days to see what the consensus of opinion is about where to go (although I am actually a KFC fan, I'm happy to go with what the majority want!)

It's all about increasing my drinking capacity - I'll be really embarrassed if I feel wasted after just one pint! Also the Adam & Eve serve Aspall's Suffolk Cider - yum!

Andrew- I know Richard goes to Church but not sure he wants to do a crucifixtion re-enactment.

Oh and I should be in the Adam and (St)Eve too.

He did ask if Liam could put him up. I wasn't thinking the way you are, maybe on a shelf instead

Well either way, at least the Adam & Eve is only round the corner from several of Norwich's finest churches!

Hi Andrea,

I hope you have a great time. I'd have thought one tinnie should be sufficient. Either you are going out to sea or along a river. If you had one each, you could race each other.

Just as an addition to this regarding food. I will be getting food at KFC before getting to the pub at 7pm, but I understand that the Adam and Eve will have food available for anyone that wants to order it there.

I'll be there from 7pm, I know some people will inevitably be later or might want food from somewhere else so might be later.

Cheers,

julian.
