Is there any interest for a walk this Sunday (the 24th) [for those of us not lucky enough to go to Sussex ].
I don't have any fixed walk in mind but would aim for 8/9 miles somewhere close to Norwich (maybe around Saxlingham Green). I'd probably take the walk from the Jarrold's green book ... so be warned this is unreccyed. But, on the upside most of these walks incorporate a pub stop .
If I get a few replies, I'll post more details later in the week. I'd be able to drive 2 or 3 from Norwich.
The 7.5 mile Walk will begin at Shotesham (about 6/7 miles south of Norwich just south of Stoke holy Cross). Parking is suggested at the church car park (Shotesham is small so it should be easy to find but an exact location can be found by typing grid reference TM246990 at http://www.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/oswebsite/).
The route of the walk takes us south through pretty rolling hills around Saxlinglam Green and up back toward Shotesham via Saxlingham Nethergate. Almost the entire walk is on footpath (there is very little road walking). I imagine we will end up back in Shotesham around 4ish for a drink at the Globe Pub.
The walk will begin at 1pm (so I am presuming people will have lunched before hand ... but bring a snack and water etc).
Best,
Graham
