For those that haven't vowed to never come on one of my walks again..... I will be leading another one from my infamous book of 'Adventurous Pub Walks in Norfolk'.

I did the reccy for this with 4 others on Easter Monday, not 9 months ago like Caston on 'The Cursed Day'.

Meet at The New Inn at 10.15 for a 10.30 start. There is also a car park opposite the pub.

The walk is 9 miles, starts from The New Inn at Rockland St Mary and offers 'climax views' over Rockland Broad and 'fine views' across the landscape. What more could you ask for?

Don't forget to bring everything 'just in case' ie. hats and waterproofs and of course a packed lunch and water. We will stop for lunch in a churchyard then a drink at the Beauchamp Arms halfway round.

Any queries on the day give me a ring on 07812 564872.

Paula

BTW if anyone needs a lift in my 'new' car please post below.

I will have space for 3 people from Norwich - preferably between me in Thorpe Hamlet and Rockland St Mary. Suggested pick up points would be the football stadium and Whitlingham Lane.

Don't be shy Eimear! There are new people coming on walks all the time.

Of course you can catch a lift. No need for petrol money but a drink at The Beauchamp Arms halfway round or The New Inn at the end would be great.

That leaves 2 spaces in my car if anyone else needs a lift.

Hi

It's been a while since I've been around... just had a pretty busy life for the past few months!

Would this be a dog friendly walk as Henry and I would love to come if that's ok. He is much better behaved than he was when you last saw him (she said, jinxing all chances of good behaviour from the mutt!)

Think I'm going to have to miss this one now as the mutt had emergency surgery ovr the weekend and I'm not sure he'll be up to a long walk by the 14th

We'll be back when he's better though!

People normally wear proper walking boots - to keep out mud/water and for the odd time their ankles need support. But it's up to individual preference and what you feel comfortable in. Good boots are also waterproof which is always a plus if you don't like walking with wet feet.

Let's hope for a dry and sunny day...!

Hi Paula
I'm going to try and make this walk on Sunday. It's been a while since my last walk with the group and would be good to get back into walking again. I'll let you know if I can't make it as may have family commitments.

Glad to see more people are coming along, including a couple of newbies and a couple returning to do the walk again!

Eimear - sorry you can't make it and hope we see you again before another 9 months are up.

That leaves 3 spaces in my car again if anyone needs a lift from Norwich.

Hi Paula,

Sorry I'm going to be unable to make your walk. I hope it goes well for you and the weather is kind to you.

Your walks are always fun, I hope this one isn't an exception.
