Are we confident this walk will end by 2pm? Surely we're quick enough Work starts at 4pm.
If so, I will probably go...lack of sleep - who cares? I'm off Mon-Wed

Should be finished, but the pub isn't at the end of the walk, it's about 3/4 mile from finish. You can always shoot off if needs be as it is easy to get back to car without directions from pub :)

The RAC routeplanner says it's 57 miles and 2 hrs 4 mins from mine! That's slow driving, so the roads must be crap. It's suggesting A140 out of Norwich, B1145, B1354, B1149, A148, B1156 which is cross country. Is this the way you'd recommend, or is it easier to go towards Cromer and then across?

Jonny, you'll be hard pushed to find any decent roads in North Norfolk lol. I took A149 as I live in Stalham which took 1.5hrs, guessing Norwich City would be similar time. I will see what TomTom recommends. Is your route above from Lowestoft as I work out Norwich to Stiffkey as 30 miles.

Yes, coming from Lowestoft (or Carlton Colville, not quite as chavvy)...that route looks like heading up to Holt, which seems to be the most direct way.

OK Jonny I have Google Earthed the route for you and it reckons 1 hr 38m from Carlton Colville to Stiffkey. This is the route:

A140 from Norwich
Take B1149 Holt Road
Through Saxthorpe still on B1149
B1149 through Edgefield up to A148
A148 towards Fakenham
Turn right onto B1156
Follow road straight to Cockthorpe
Drops down into Stiffkey

Hope this helps a bit
