Does anybody fancy coming to this...for all of us old enough to remember the 80s....a fantastic music treat!!
Blickling Hall is a beautiful Venue and I thought maybe we could combine it with a picnic and a walk (not led by me...as we'd get lost)So it would be from about 4pm - late....

2009 lineup includes: Marc Almond, ABC, Go West, Kid Creole and The Coconuts, Bananarama, The Three Degrees, Cutting Crew, Hazel O'Connor, Visage and a massive firework finale!
Its quite expensive I think with the booking fee its £42...but there are loads of bands on the same night and sometimes the enjoyment factor has to take over
I need to know by saturday 5th July...at the latest..if no one wants to come no worries I will try and drag my little sister along
but Im in need of a treat as I have work hard and I remember Paula and Alan went last year and said it was great...
Hopefully someone I have met before will come...all are welcome though...

Wholeheartedly agree- Blicking Hall is a charming stately home, but I feel at my age the music will be a bit too loud and my hair is already starting to Fade to Grey, just like the Visage song...

Have jolly good fun though :)

Eimear, I'm a bit confused about the start time, as a ticket place I looked at said it was 6pm-late...
I'm working at the Latitude Festival 9-5 Fri and Sat so could gorge myself on music that weekend and having never visited Blickling Hall and having heard lots of good reports I'd like to go, and would probably get there by 6.30. What's the setup there? Park your car and then push your way into the mosh pit or is it all civilised picnics on the grass?

oops, didn't read your post fully, Eimear...I guess you were thinking of a 4pm start for that walk or picnic?

This event didn't really draw in the crowds...so I will leave it for the time being and just sit out in the sunshine, drink wine and listen to an 80s CD......kind of the same thing.....it was probably too expensive...no problem...hopefully see everyone at another event I can make...

That was kind of my reason Eimear - not feeling too flush at the moment on the rate I'm on.

I would join you for your 80's party though!!!

Hi Terry I think my girlfriend Michelle said her mum and dad wanted to go to this, they aren't part of the group but seem keen to go and don't mind meeting up with other people.
