Sunday, August 30th, Middleton walk
· Please arrive ready for a 10.00a.m. start
· Middleton is located just off the B1125, just south of Westleton, near Dunwich
· Travelling time from Norwich c. 1 hour
· Walk distance is c.14 miles
· Starting point – from the green opposite The Bell Pub, IP17 3NN
· Parking – on the roadside by the green
· Dogs are very welcome
· Please bring a packed lunch, plenty to drink (I would recommend 2 litres), sunscreen, insect repellent, suitable footwear etc.
· There will be a pub stop en route at The Eels’s Foot Inn
· Directions from Norwich

This is a beautiful, relatively flat walk, which takes us through some of Suffolk’s most beautiful countryside, on rural lanes and tracks, past woodland and Minsmere Nature Reserve, on a stretch of the beach and on the edge of Dunwich Heath.

I might be able to come to this....could someone offer me a lift from Norwich if I let them know by saturday afternoon? Petrol money as requested. (Sorry my twin hasnt made up his mind if hes coming to Norfolk or not...if he doesnt arrive I will come on this.)..thanks...

Andrew I can make this walk, the first one I have been able to go on since I signed up. Looking forward to it. I love the Dunwich area and The Eels Foot is a great pub too!
By the way your map is for an area around Tonbridge in Kent. Middleton to Tonbridge is a bit ambitious in a day!

Thanks for pointing out the error. I suggest that anyone who needs directions uses www.maps.google.co.uk, typing in Middleton, Suffolk or IP17 3NN as the destination.

Clive are you passing through Norwich? anyone? can anyone help yeah neah? I have no means of getting there other then hiking but hey... I havent been for ages and really want to go but now no one around for a lift ...no worries seriously though if I cant cadge a lift

yeah no worries Clive....sorry in my desperation I thought you lived in Norwich...never mind never mind...I shall go out to lunch with some friends if not....be nice to go get some exercise in but I cant get a lift..so thats okay....wasnt meant to be...and I cant make the monday walk..oh well thats life...
