********************
*
* I am changing the parking suggestion for this walk
* Below is my original post
*
* Look for [New Parking] for advice on where to park

I will lead an 8.5 mile walk around Aylsham (NOT Nth Walsham as stated on the topic!) on Sat 28th. This is a 'Jarrolds green book' walk (for those who wish to study beforehand ). The walk will start at 11.00 am.

Park in the centre of Aylsham. I suggest the carpark whose entrance is opposite 'Swan Close' off Mill Lane. See
http://www.bing.com/maps/default.aspx?v=2&cp=52.79371101416141~1.2494735419750213&lvl=18&sty=h&eo=0&ss=yp.buttlands%20car%20park~pg.1

But, remember that this is Saturday and Aylsham may be busy.

Happy to give lifts to anyone in Taverham/Drayton or en route to Aylsham

thanks

Graham

[New Parking]

Lets Meet at the Bure Valley Railway station on Sat at 11 and start the walk from there

Jon and Coryn raised the parking issue. An alternate to the parking I suggested in the first post is Bure Railway station. Both car parks are found on:

http://www.google.com/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Mill+Rd&daddr=52.791326,1.255052&hl=en&geocode=FdSPJQMd0A0TAA%3B&mra=mi&mrsp=1,0&sz=15&sll=52.791707,1.256733&sspn=0.009939,0.034289&ie=UTF8&z=15

(A is 'Buttlands car park and B is the Bure Valley Railaway Car park). I suspect the Bure Valley Railway carpark will be more convenient (and I think it is free). So, I will park there

I'll be there Graham, you'll be excited to know :)

Lift permitting of course, but I may be able to do this one by bus if no-one is heading from Norwich :)

Julian,

Ultimately, I could give you a lift ... but would rather not go into town (on a Saturday) unless really necessary. Someone will volunteer

Hi Graham, if I feel like getting myself out of bed after about 3-4 hours kip I might go on this walk. Parking sounds a bit dodgy though as these small towns can get really busy, especially at this time of year. Any other parking suggestions, just in case that one is full, perhaps slightly out of the centre?

Graham,

As I wouldn't want to miss the light, I shall be coming along on my own. Andrea won't be along as I plan to give her a little bit of gas as us medical people call it...

See you then. Matt.

Hi Graham
Hope I might be able to come- depends if I can get my assignment finished first. A good alternative car park in Aylsham is the one next to the Bure Valley railway. Coming from the Norwich direction it's on your right as you come into Aylsham (opposite Tesco on the left)

I'd like to come on your walk Graham but would also need a lift - maybe the same one as Julian seen as I am about 15 mins walk away from him.

Would anyone be able to give us a lift (pretty please)?

More about the walk.

Lets Meet at the Bure Valley Railway station on Sat at 11 and start the walk from there

(A is 'Buttlands car park and B is the Bure Valley Railaway Car park). I suspect the Bure Valley Railway carpark will be more convenient (and I think it is free). So, I will park there

Also, this is (probably) non-reccyed (sorry no time). But, the Jarrold's green book is pretty good (I don't envisage any problems - famous last words).

We'll have lunch on the way around .. as always bring lunch/water and wear proper footwear etc

Bure Valley Railway car park is quite large and is free as well (if you get asked where you are walking, say you are walking the 9-mile path that runs parallel to the railway line as it is free for users of the path or railway)

Have a good walk, I'll be thinking of you whilst I'm digging big holes in the road in Coventry

Hi Michelle,

Would you mind if I get a lift with you (and Julian if he's still needing one)? I live just off Rosary Road (off Thorpe Road) and Julian is behind Morrisons on Riverside.

We could both meet you at the same place and time if that helps.

I will message you with my number.

Thanks
Paula
