Hello Everyone,
This is a repeat of a walk done in March 2008, I think it was enjoyed by all, despite the driving rain. See photos
The 8.8 mile walk will start from the Pin Mill carpark (Chelmondiston) at 10:30am. (Please note parking costs 30p/hr, so bring some change). There will be a pub stop approximately half way. We will have our lunch stop on the meadow adjacent to Freston Tower where there is a splendid view of the river and the Orwell Bridge. The walk will take us across country, along quiet lanes and finishing up on a woodland trail. Also there is a possibility of a second pub stop at the end of the walk.
This walk is further afield than the usual (about 1hr 15min from Norwich). If anyone needs a lift from Norwich, we have a couple of spaces. I recommend car sharing if possible, as car parking can be limited.
Click here for a map of the start point.
Of course, don’t forget to bring your boots/waterproofs and also something to eat/drink with you. Hope you can come along. Please let us know if you can.
Thanks, David & Amy (07799) 365737

I'd like to come on your walk D & A. I remember enjoying it the last time, or was it the people that made it enjoyable? Maybe both!

Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in coming along.
Hiya Alex! I’ll be in touch regarding a lift, when I have a clearer idea of who’s going.
Any other takers for this walk, pretty please? David

| Hi, I'd like to come on this walk too, it would be my first with the group. I'm happy to drive, happy to car share, but would have no prior knowledge of the route at all. Happy to pay towards petrol if anybody has a spare seat too . . . . . . I'm in Old Catton but can meet elsewhere if needs be. Kev. |

Hi Marian, I’d offer a lift however my car is now full, sorry.
Emily has also expressed an interest in going too. This just leaves Emily and Marian without a lift, is there anyone able to kindly provide either (or both) of them with transport. I would be very grateful.
Many thanks, David. |

I can offer lifts from the Norwich area. Does this cover both?

Thanks Richard, you’re a star. I presume Emily and Marian will be in touch with you in due course, to sort things out if required.
Cheers, David |

That's great Richard but how do we view it? Can you include instructions when you post these links (for us non-techies)?
Thanks Paula

Thanks David was a good walk on Sunday, enjoyed it despite the rain.
I will echo Paula's point above as I do not seem to be able to open the file through this link, it comes up as unsupported file. Ian. |

The GPX or ZIP files which Richard posts on the forum are the raw GPS data from his GPS gadget, people can then load this data into their own GPS gadget or mapping software for their own enjoyment.
However in addition to this, all of Richards GPS tracks may now be viewed (without downloading) via a new link on the homepage www.norfolkywg.org.uk click on ‘Walking Routes’, hope this is of use.
