Liam, Silje and myself had a tiring but challenging day on the trails at the Forestry Commission site at Thetford Forest yesterday.

We decided to get an annual season ticket so that we could return many more times (in an effort to get even fitter!), so if there's anyone else interested in this let me know either by message or on the forum and we can arrange times for many future visits depending if anyone is interested or not :)

Mountain bikes can be hired from the site itself if required for the day - and there is a nice cafe on site for lunch breaks :)

I'd be well up for it I reckon. How much is the bike hire? Guessing only mountain bikes and fat tyres are suitable?

A mtb would be the easiest and best way to explore around Thetford and definitely the only way to ride the Red and Black trails.

I forgot to see how much bike hire is- but the website for the shop is www.bike-art.com which is not working at the moment to look at.

I think I paid around £10 for the day last year. Such a good day out - definitely better than lunges or stairmaster!

Hi, any chance of Thetford on 17th or 18th April? If so, count me in. If not, will have to contemplate my work diary

Great idea. I'm free on the weekend of the 17/18 April if not before - anyone else? I look forward to doing it again. I think Julian may have difficulty accessing the net this week.

On behalf of Julian he has said the weekend of 17/18 April is good- I may not be around but I will make sure that the car park ticket is available for use.

Cheers

Liam

Hey,

I might be interested in attending but its pending that I borrow a bike in the near future and establish whether I can balance on it and then cycle some distance!

I'd probably hire a bike if I went along.
