Hello everyone,

This lovely 11 mile walk takes us through fields and quiet lanes via Buckenham, down to Cantley with a pub stop halfway on the River Yare, then and back up in a circle to Moulton St. Mary. There is also a good place to have tea and cake at the end too.

If you like the sound of this, please meet at 9.45 for a 10am start in Beighton (near Acle off the A47). The meeting point is a large lay-by on the right-hand side of the B1140 as you reach the village of Beighton (north side of the village). Click here for a map...

As usual bring your boots/waterproofs and lunch etc. Please post or text to let me know if you are coming, many thanks. If anyone needs a lift from Norwich, we have a couple of spaces.

Hope to see you there,
David & Amy

Hey,

I might be able to attend the walk, I'll confirm nearer the time as and when I know whats happening work wise.

Also, just to check that your walk doesn't use the route parallel to the River Yare between the Reedcutter pub and along past Cantley Sugar Beet Factory? The BFAP currently has that section of the footpath formally closed whilst the improvement works to Cantley Staithe are being undertaken; unfortunately it's not listed on the Norfolk County Council website.

I'll put a link to our project website in the General Chat area, listing all the public footpath routes where we've formally got closures in place.

Hi Amy and David,

Sounds lovely, and would like to go. I may need to wait for the weather forecast in case it's anything like yesterday, however.

If I go, I can also take up to 3 people from Norwich, in my car.

Thanks for the interest everyone.

Many thanks Adele, regarding the footpath closure, much appreciated. I should be able to tweak the route to avoid that bit, no problems. The website link would be jolly handy.

Sounds like a nice walk in an area I only know from passing through on the train. I hope to be there.

Thanks for the replies so far on our walk - I myself am hoping to make it this time round as my sprained foot is now healed !

We still have space to take 1 other if anybody needs a lift.

Hey,

Unfortunately something has come up workwise as I thought it might so I'm not going to be able to make the walk.

Hi, I'm afraid I now need to drop out of this one as I'll be away on the Friday and Saturday and probably won't get back in time. hope it goes well, and I'll see you all at the next one. Kev.

Hi Amy and David,
It's Springtime at last and I would like to emerge for a walk! I would need a lift from Unthank Rd/Newmarket Rd area, if anyone will be heading through that way?
Cheers,

Fran

Hi Amy and David,

looks like I might be otherwise engaged on Sunday now, so don't hang on for me in the car park if I'm not there at the right time. Hope you have a great day out.
